Associate Degrees Online Degree Programs

You can opt to complete an associate degrees online if you have a busy schedule. With an associate's degree, you generally need another 2 years or 60 credit hours to complete a bachelor's or to be qualified for an entry-level position.

Associate Degree Education and Training

Associate degrees online usually require the completion of a least 60-semester credit hours to obtain. Programs are made up of general education requirements, major requirements, and electives. Full time study is equal to 4 semesters or 15 semester credit hours. Accelerated distance two-year programs are also available online. Most associate degrees online have many of the same requirements as on-campus or in-classroom courses.

According to the United States Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average income for full-time employees with associate's degree reached close to $37,500 in 2006. This is more than $6,500 above the average salary of employees with only a high school diploma or GED. On the higher end of the scale, with associate degrees online is around $52,000. This does however vary according to the employer,location, industry, experience, and the particular associates of arts or associates of science concentration.
