What is involved in a health psychology doctorate degree? A doctorate in psychology can take four to seven years to fully complete. In that time period, students are required to submit a doctoral dissertation and complete a field practice placement in a clinical setting.

Students will attain theoretical training, neuroscience, behavioral and social science as well as the diagnosis and assessment of mental health issues.
