The MSW degree as it is commonly referred stands for masters in social work. In general, most MSW degrees are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and it is important that you earn your graduate social work degree from an accredited school. Social Work Education and Training

Social work education requirements may include masters in social work online courses in human growth and development, social policies, social programs, methods of practice, as well social research methodology. Some MSW programs allow students who have attained an undergraduate degree in social work at CSWE-accredited programs to enroll with advanced standing status.

Medical and public health workers earn an average of $40,000 a year, with a range of $25,400 to $58,700. Mental health and substance abuse workers early between $21,600 and $43,400 a year.
