An online photography degree all allows you to tell a story visually. Photography is the is the science and art of creating still and moving pictures by recording radiation on a sensitive medium, for as a photographic film, or electronic sensor.

The photography profession is one that is always changing and photographers should keep their skills up-to-date. You can also consider a career in photojournalism or news photography. The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) over 50% of amateur and professional photographers are self-employed or freelancers. The BLS projects that photography jobs will increase by 12% between 2008 and 2018. The median annual income of photographers was $29,440 in 2008. The middle 50% earned between $20,620 and $43,530. The lowest 10% earned less than $16,920 while the highest 10% earned over $62,430 (BLS).

The median annual income for photographers is about $27,000 with a range of about $22,000 to $57,000. Online photography degree programs are an ideal way to complete your film courses while being flexible with your career or family.
