Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) had received four new orders in 2018, which is a confirmation of the commitment of customers to Boeing aircraft, announced the company within the framework of the European Business Aviation Congress and Exhibition (EBACE). The business jets are characterized by an extremely large cabin and a long flight range.
“New orders this year continue impressive results in 2017, when customers purchased 16 Boeing Business Jets. We continue to observe the high interest of customers in the Boeing business-class aircraft family, which is reflected in the receipt of new orders and the increase in the portfolio of orders”, said the CEO of Boeing Business Jets, Greg Laxton. “Customers prefer airplanes with a more spacious cabin and a long flight range, which provides significant growth in this segment”, added he.
Two new orders of this year are attributed to BBJ MAX, replenishing the portfolio of 19 orders, which makes this family of business-class aircraft one of the best-selling in the history. BBJ MAX is based on the 737 MAX model, and its fuel efficiency is 14% better due to improved engines and improved aerodynamics. In addition, the model is equipped with displays in the cockpit and various new advanced systems modeled on the model 787. The BBJ MAX family of aircraft provides customers with higher range and comfort, as well as a more spacious cabin than any other business-class aircraft in this segment. The liner can operate at a distance of 7,000 nautical miles (12,964 km), provides a low-altitude feeling in the cabin, and the interior is customized to suit individual preferences.
“The advantages of the BBJ MAX from the point of view of its performance characteristics is a serious stimulator of sales. The aircraft is ideal for even the most demanding customers who want to fly long distances without stopping”, said also Greg Laxton.
Boeing celebrated sending the first BBJ MAX 8 from the plant in April 2018. Further deliveries of BBJ MAX are planned for the coming months.
