Lufthansa Airlines introduced a new aircraft livery. The corporate stylised bird on the emblem was preserved, but it was decided to abandon the yellow circle on which it was located. In addition, previously dark blue was only the tail, but now the color partially “slipped” onto the fuselage. The appearance of the updated aircraft will be designed in the style of Lufthansa Blue (blue and white only).
According to the executive director of Lufthansa, Carsten Spohr, the “repainting” of all 330 aircraft carriers will take about eight years. By the end of 2018, the appearance of 40 aircraft will change.
Lufthansa executives are in Cape Town for a conference on African aviation.
The new livery appears on a Boeing 747-8.
The traditional Lufthansa logo – the blue stylised bird on the background of the yellow circle – is about 100 years old. A new color scheme was also invented for the new design: “Much is changing. The good remains”.
