Passenger tried to avoid the inspection at the gate in Miami International Airport and entered on the take-off field field through the baggage carousel. The video surveillance camera captured a man, who was pretending to talk on a cellphone, to lay down on a luggage belt near American Airlines racks and sprinted onto the tarmac after bags and suitcases. The man ultimately made his way onto the runway and airport ramp. He was detained already on the take-off field.
As explained by the airport officials, if there was an airplane near the exit at this time, the man could get there without problem. This was serious braking the security of the airport, succeeding to avoid the inspection at the gate.
Upon the incident, an investigation was launched, the name of the suspect is not disclosed. The security officers initiated security checks for the safety and security at the airport, as well as the root cause of the security brake.
