The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency has prepared proposals for the reconstruction of 65 airports for the amount of 166 billion rubles (2.53 billion USD). The agency prepared a draft Comprehensive Plan for the modernization and expansion of the backbone infrastructure of the Russian Federation until 2024.
“The Federal Air Transport Agency has prepared proposals for measures regarding air transport for inclusion in the draft Integrated Modernization Plan and expansion of the trunk infrastructure of the Russian Federation to 2024. The Comprehensive Plan includes the reconstruction of 65 airports, including 38 airports located on the territory of the Far Eastern Federal District”, says the statement.
To do this, it is necessary to allocate 166 billion rubles from the budget in the period up to 2024.
“The required amount of funding is 166.0 billion rubles and will be allocated from the federal budget for the reconstruction of airports for the period from 2019 to 2024, of which for the reconstruction of airports located in the Far Eastern Federal District, 86.7 billion rubles”, adds the message.
