Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree to provide the State Transport Leasing Company with a subsidy of 9.8 billion rubles for the purchase of SuperJet 100 aircraft for regional flights.
Decree No. 1171 of October 2, 2018 was submitted by the Ministry of Transport of Russia. In accordance with the document, the State Transport Leasing Company is granted a subsidy of 9.8 billion rubles for the purchase of SuperJet 100 aircraft for subsequent leasing to Russian airlines operating on regional airlines.
“In accordance with the signed resolution, the funds in the amount of 9.8 billion rubles are provided by PJSC State Transport Leasing Company for the purchase of SuperJet 100 aircraft manufactured by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft JSC. The subsidy, together with extrabudgetary funds in the amount of 8.9 billion rubles, will be directed to the purchase of eight SuperJet 100 aircraft with a total value of 18.7 billion rubles for subsequent leasing to Russian airlines engaged in passenger transportation on regional airlines. The aircraft will be delivered in 2018–2019”, says the official statement.
The state support will allow PJSC State Transport Leasing Company to increase the number of aircraft purchased and leased and to preserve favorable terms of leasing payments for airlines. The funds for these purposes are provided in the federal budget.
