Russian airline S7 Group reported 8.3% yoy traffic increase in January 2018 to 1,098,444 passengers. S7 Airlines carried 794,606 passengers on domestic flights in Russia, which is 9.4% more than an year ago. The growth on international routes amounted to 5.7%. In January 2018, on international flights, the airline carried 303,838 passengers.
The passenger turnover in January 2018 increased by 6.9% and amounted to 2,240,561 passengers per km, while the cargo turnover increased by 6.3% to 209,815 tons per km.
“Over the past month, we have noted stable growth both on domestic and international routes. At the top of the ski season, passengers enjoyed flights to Sochi, Munich, the cities of northern Italy, Austria. On the other hand, we have already begun preparations for the upcoming season of spring-summer travel. In January, S7 Airlines opened sales for several new flights to Western Europe: from Moscow to Tenerife and Bari, from St Petersburg to Alicante and Pula”, said the the S7 Group commercial director, Vadim Besperstov.
S7 Airlines is an airline headquartered in Ob, Novosibirsk Oblast, Russia, with offices in Moscow. As of 2008, it is Russia’s biggest domestic airline. Its main bases are Domodedovo International Airport and Tolmachevo Airport. S7 has operated scheduled passenger flights to destinations in Russia, as well as international services.
